What students say
“Bryson is a wonderful teacher and I am very grateful how the universe conspired to get me to his classes!”

From the reviews
I have had chronic back, hip and leg pain for over two years. MRIs showed herniated discs/slipped disc for L2-L5. Nothing seemed to help - including anti-inflammatory meds, neuropathic meds, 2 rounds of PT, 3 spinal injections, chiropractic sessions and an anti-inflammatory diet.
Writing to tell of experience with my feet and Bryson Newell’s teaching techniques in Somatic Fascial Tensegrity(SFR). In Zoom classes at Vidya Method, with Bryson, it was clear that certain movements were out of reach of the abilities of my feet. The right Big toe could not bend on its own without external help.
This program is invaluable. Bryson teaches from experience and with a great deal of patience. I am a better mover, a better runner and more in synch with the way my body moves. The techniques have helped me to move from an organic place instead of fighting and forcing my body to do my bidding.
Bryson is an amazing teacher! For the past year I have been struggling with significant health issues and have been diagnosed with chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, and POTS. I have needed to make significant changes in my life to calm my nervous system down and Tai Chi has been a huge part of my recovery.
Your first tai chi class at Vidyamethod
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
