From the reviews
I just started the tai chi classes with Daniel at the Rancho Bernardo Swim and Tennis Club. I really wanted to learn how to slow down, improve my balance, coordination, and especially mental clarity.
Last month I started taking Tai Chi from Daniel Benitez at the Rancho Bernardo Swim & Tennis Club. I’ve taken Tai Chi before but never continued since most instructors just teach you the movement without explaining each move, getting you in the proper position or breathing properly. Daniel is not like the others.
I had been searching for a good Tai Chi learning experience for several years, and I am delighted to have my expectations exceeded by Daniel Benitez. My balance, strength and mobility have improved since participating in Daniel's classes.
Thank you Daniel for your fine teaching qualities in the tai chi exercise class . You show great patience and I particularly appreciate how you ground us in the basics . The two months I have been attending has had a marked effect on my balance and body mechanics .
Your first tai chi class at Daniel Benitez Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
