From the reviews

Wanted to start being healthier and get into good habits, so my significant other and I started going to the Beaverton Body and Brain Center. Started in March and fell in love with the positive energy and people!

When I called Body and Brain Beaverton, I was completely new to town. I had no idea what I was signing up for. Even though I have practiced yoga on-and-off for the past 15 years, this sounded like something completely different.

Body & Brain Beaverton will give your total self - mind and body - what it needs to become healthful, happy and peaceful. I have been a member of Body & Brain yoga for three years now and I have never been this healthy, physically and spiritually. My stress level has dropped and I have so much more energy.

I could not recommend this place highly enough. In my opinion Body & Brain yoga is the best thing you can do for your self. I feel amazing because of this practice. I am stronger, more flexible, and I have lost weight. I will say its not easy, but I will also say anyone can do it.

Your first tai chi class at Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi

Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.

Tai chi is gentle and low-impact, but it's still exercise, and the health notes here are general information, not medical advice. If you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them to the instructor before class, and check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
