From the reviews
I have the honor of working with Oliver as a personal spiritualist coach after my husband sought out his services for Tai Chi training. Oliver is incredibly insightful in his coaching and meets students where they are in their spiritual journey to mentor students along in the practice of ancient eastern moving…
Oliver is friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to. He is, without fail-patient- no matter how often I seek repetition. It is evident that he is dedicated to his art and truly wants to share Tai Chi's beauty and benefits with others. During instruction he readily gives encouragement and affirmation.
I have been taking Tai Chi instruction from Oliver for 3 years now. Oliver is patient, knowledgeable in his instructions and he can instruct at any level depending on the student. I enjoy his instruction and classes very much as they are always fun and in a positive atmosphere.
Oliver is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. My husband and I began learning QiGong with him and he was a patient and kind instructor who was extremely easy to learn from. I highly recommend his classes for beginners through advanced students.
Your first tai chi class at Arcane Performance - Tai Chi, Qigong, Mediation
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
