The classes they run
“My only suggestion would be to have more detailed instruction in the hammock dance class to make it more suitable for beginners to get the most learning out of the session.”
“They made a seamless transition between in person offerings and online offerings through Zoom, and now have both types of offerings, including a hybrid mix of the two types.”
“The interior decor is very inviting, zen like, and the studio is very clean!”
“I had just retired from teaching Dance and closed my studio in Florida.”

What students say
“I love all the instructors and know that whatever class I take, the instructor will be knowledgeable, it will be well run and I will benefit from participating in it.”
“For the first time I take class from Katharine, she provides steps by steps from how to open the hammock and secure each move.”
“The class was very relaxing and I got to stretch out some stiff muscles which accumulated from work from home with bad ergonomic, workout and hiking adventures.”
“If you want a work out that strengthens your whole body and increases flexibility, these are a must try.”
“Teachers have been caring and also push a little at times which is sometimes difficult for my child, however she has improved in skill and confidence.”
From the reviews
This is a sweet space. We took a Hula Basics class, which was just lovely! I was expecting the arm moves and steps (tho hadn’t realized how challenging it would be to combine the two), but hadn’t expected the teacher to play the ukulele and sing the songs we danced to.
I just love this Studio, I met the owner when it first opened, about 12 years ago. We bonded about being DanceStudio owners. I had just retired from teaching Dance and closed my studio in Florida. I had just moved back to Hawaii, and I was reaching out to the Dance community to connect and make friends.
I come here for aerial yoga class. It’s been a year and half since I practice aerial yoga. I booked the class from the website, it takes me to a booking platform where it shows schedule of all classes. I took the AIReal Yoga with Katharine. She is very kind, sweet and helpful.
Still and Moving Center offers such a wide variety of classes. I love all the instructors and know that whatever class I take, the instructor will be knowledgeable, it will be well run and I will benefit from participating in it.
New to tai chi? Start at Still & Moving Center
Still & Moving Center comes up as a beginner-friendly studio, going by its listing and students' reviews. If you've never tried tai chi, that's exactly who a good beginners class is for. A few things worth knowing before your first session. First, you don't need to be fit or flexible to start — the movements are slow and gentle, you set your own pace, and many can be done seated if standing is hard. Second, there's nothing to buy and nothing to keep up with — wear comfortable clothes and flat, flexible shoes, and simply follow along. Third, all ages and abilities really are welcome — ask whether there's a dedicated beginners or all-levels class time so your first session is alongside others who are also starting out. Most studios are happy to let you watch or try a class first, so reach out before you commit.
Your first tai chi class at Still & Moving Center
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
