Eh, ALL my senior friends, I was so happy to see you all at the Annual Picnic In The Park TODAY June 5th, 2024, at Fitts Park in South Salt Lake. The South Salt Lake Senior Center had a Social Walk, Bingo, Entertainment, and very delicious healthy BBQ chicken lunch with potatoes, salad, corn bread, coffee, and milk…
I take my mom here it's a great facility it's free but I'd recommend donating. They have lots of activities for seniors. My mom has dementia and I take her there and she seems to enjoy yourself every time she's there.
This place is so that seniors won't get out of touch with the world and so serves a nutritious lunch for a .ini.al contribution. They have many a activities that a person can join, from Bingo to Tai Chi, and other fun things to help keep us occupied and with others.
Your first tai chi class at South Salt Lake Senior Center
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
