From the reviews
I've been studying Tai Chi at Master Gohring's school for several years. The quality of instruction is consistently excellent. The classes are always interesting and fun. With the kind of solid fundamentals we get at Master Gohring's, the physical benefits over time are actually pretty amazing.
We have been attending Master Gohring's school for about two years now and we love it. We began by putting our son in the Little Dragons class, then my husband joined when our son moved into the family/mixed age Kung Fu group, then I joined Tai Chi, and eventually moved into Kung Fu also.
I have always wanted to get into a martial art, I just didn't know which one was right for me. When I walked into Master Gohring's Kung Fu school I knew that I was in the right place. The instructors are incredibly knowledgable and passionate about their practice. The curriculum is challenging and fun.
I’ve been taking Tai Chi classes at Master Gohring’s Tai Chi and Kung Fu school for two years. My daughter has been taking Kung Fu for a year. I highly recommend the school. I appreciate the variety of forms taught.
Your first tai chi class at Master Gohring's Tai Chi & Kung Fu
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
