From the reviews
Lenann Crisci teaches a variation on the Yang short form. I have started many T'ai Chi classes in the past, but this is the first one that I was able to stay with, thanks to Lenann's brilliant teaching method. After a few minutes of stretching and breathing exercises, the class launches right into the 7-minute routine.
Master Brent J Chrissy has been teaching several forms of martial arts for over 30 years. He is in the martial arts, Hall of Fame and a gold medal winner at the Pan Am games. TIP: they run introductory specials! United Martial Arts Academies is one of the best martial art Studios in New England.
You couldn't ask for a better group to be a part of. Being involved with UMAA and its people has been a huge boon in my life.
They are a great bunch of sensei's they really know what they're doing. The dojo is a great family environment and being out the best in all of us!
Your first tai chi class at Master Brent J. Crisci's United Martial Arts Academies
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
