From the reviews

Outstanding smaller studio teaching both Wushu and Taekwon-Do to all levels of children, teens, and adults. My son and niece have been learning TKD here with owner Chris Leyesa and his team of instructors and senior students for almost 3 years, which has had a profound positive impact on them while growing up.

The Wush Taekwon-Do Academy is an outstanding martial arts school. Mr. Leyesa and his instructors provide excellent training, a welcoming atmosphere, and tremendous martial arts expertise. I cannot recommend this school more strongly! Please go and take a class - you will love it!

★★★★★ — Ed, Aug 2019

Mr. Leyesa is a pro and obviously loves what he does. My son has studied Taekwon-Do at WTA from February of 2015 to June of 2020. In June of 2020 my son began studying the Chinese Martial Art of Wushu at WTA. Each class he attends, he's pushed to do his personal best. Mr.

Both my kids Started Wushu a year ago at this academy! I am short of words to explain the way they engage kids and teach then with tremendous dedication, discipline and yet lots of fun at the same time!

Your first tai chi class at Wushu Taekwon-Do Academy

Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.

Tai chi is gentle and low-impact, but it's still exercise, and the health notes here are general information, not medical advice. If you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them to the instructor before class, and check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
