From the reviews
I have been going to Steve’s classes for a year now and still absolutely love his classes and way of teaching - Steve is very patient and good at breaking down the moves into manageable and detailed elements.
I joined as a complete beginner and have been encouraged every step of the way by Steve and the rest of the class. Tai chi challenges me not only physically, especially in terms of balance and flexibility but also mentally by giving my brain a workout! Steve is a great teacher and I look forward to every class.
Steve is very knowledgeable and is a great teacher. Since starting his classes I've noticed major improvements in my balance and strength. The classes are interesting, relaxed and fun, which is something I never thought I'd say about an exercise class!
Steve is a really good teacher teaching from years of experience and knowledge. He is also very gentle and patient. I thoroughly recommend him as a teacher.
Your first tai chi class at Wudang Tai Chi Brighton
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
