From the reviews
I've been training in martial art for 10 years before stumbling upon this school 12 years ago and have not left since. The two instructors are trained in one of the most well known Wudang lineages in China and have dedicated their lives fully to the study of this ancient art.
After attending Wudang academy for over a year I can confidently say that I was in the best shape of my life! My flexibility dramatically improved but also overall body connection/fitness. The chronic pain in my knee completely resolved. If you want to live a long, happy, and healthy life this is the secret!
Second to None this school's Master's are. If you have the Heart, sincerity and diligence you will find that what is offered at this school is priceless. What a Honor it is to learn and dedicate the rest of my life to Mastering the disciplines that are taught here.
I've been training at Wudang Kungfu for the past 3 years so far. If you are looking for a place where you can train forms AND application, within the same gym, this is the best place in Seattle to do it.
Your first tai chi class at Wudang Kungfu Academy
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
