From the reviews
The Wabash Activity Center is truly a gem in our community! The impact they have on seniors is nothing short of amazing. From engaging activities and social events to opportunities that keep individuals active, connected, and thriving, they consistently go above and beyond.
I went their to see my sister, Marilyn and other Crosby Actors and stage hands in two plays. I had just moved to Terre Haute in early March, 2021. It was wonderful! I will be joining the Activities Center, once I have moved into my own home in June and have more time once I am settled in. The staff were so nice.
Rented the upstairs for my daughters baby shower. Nice place, friendly staff and the center has lots to offer the community!
A historic older building being put to good use. I believe in the past it was either a synagogue or a church, and it's wonderful to see this sturdy building still in use. Of course, as an older structure some of the facilities are a little dated, and the parking lot is a bit tight.
Your first tai chi class at Wabash Activity Center
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
