From the reviews
I've been training at Villari's of Brewerton / Syracuse for over a year now, and my experience has been outstanding. Having studied this particular martial art as a teenager, I felt a strong urge to continue my journey and reintroduce its standing techniques into my self-defense training.
Outstanding self defense school. Learn how to defend yourself against various weapons / multi attackers or one on one with the personal instruction of Master Ken. His experience in street defense is formidable. I highly recommend this class for those looking to defend themselves and loved ones in the modern times.
My daughter has been a student at Villaris for years now. The owner and instructors are very knowledgeable and highly trained. The classes are small and intimate with a lot of time for one on one teaching. It feels like one big family. We love Villaris and would recommend them to anyone.
I've been training here for almost two years now. Excellent teachers who prepare you for the real thing, and it's a fun, friendly environment. Good prices too.
Your first tai chi class at Villari's Martial Arts Centers
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
