From the reviews
My husband and I joined the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy, Los Angeles for nearly 20 years. We live in Ventura. The 2-hour driving time each way wouldn’t stop us from attending weekly qigong practice sessions. I can only tell you that this place really upholds its slogan “Join Us, Change Your Life!
I will begin by saying that Tai Ji Men Qigong fixed my anxiety right away! As soon as I learned the breathing technique my palpitations which persisted for 6 whole months were gone just like that and never came back! This was in 2013. The practice has also made me more calm despite my Type A personality.
The traditional techniques passed down from ancient times are incredibly helpful and easy to apply in daily life. As a special ed teacher, practicing qigong helps me recharge both physically and mentally, providing me with the energy and calm mindset I need to face daily stress with resilience.
The best place you will find nearby to learn qigong. It's a traditional school and the rules are rigid. Every member is super supportive and kind. If you want to experience what a true Qigong feels like, not just function physically but spiritually, it is the top 1 place to go to.
Your first tai chi class at Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
