From the reviews
I’ll be teaching at Studio Taiji and wanted to share why I got involved. Lance has done a great job getting this school off the ground, with a clear focus on authenticity, thoughtful instruction, and community. The space is calm, accessible, and centered on genuine practice. I’m glad to be part of it.
This is one of my favorite studios in St. Pete! Really top-notch with offerings for everyone -- martial arts forms and techniques for beginners and advanced, classes for young and old, private lessons, and general strength and conditioning classes.
Have started attending Senior Taiji Classes earlier this month and find them very beneficial.Have been seeing Dr. Lance over the last ten years for PT & acupuncture treatment and the care and expertise he provides in those fields are unrivaled.
Jason has been an incredible teacher. Working with him to learn TaiJi over the last year has had a significant impact in improved mental clarity, balance, mobility, strength, posture and overall feeling of well being. Highly recommend.
Your first tai chi class at Studio Taiji
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
