From the reviews

Best Kung Fu school in the Northeast. Sifu Li is one of the highest level instructors in the US. He is great at teaching all ages and body types. If you want to learn good kung fu, this is the place to go. His knowledge of not only kung fu (but other martial arts as well) far surpasses anyone in the area.

★★★★★ — Adam, Jan 2025

A phenomenal Kung Fu school. Shifu Li is an incredible martial arts instructor and it’s an honor to get to work with him.

As a fellow student even though I am having little mistake, I have great success learning from Sư phụ/Sifu/Master Li. People should come here and learn a lot from this man. For his own life fact, he was attempted to be a retro power ranger actor, but he declined because he is pretty much more than that.

★★★★★ — Hy, Sep 2023

This is the best training I have ever received! Shifu Li is informative, skillful, and tough yet he makes it fun and memorable! Thank you Shifu!

Your first tai chi class at Shaolin Kungfu and Fitness Center

Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.

Tai chi is gentle and low-impact, but it's still exercise, and the health notes here are general information, not medical advice. If you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them to the instructor before class, and check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
