From the reviews

I love the classes here; I've been a student for eight years and still greatly enjoy them. You can learn things very quickly the way these professional teachers teach you, and still have a ton of fun learning. My defensive reflexes are crazy fast from this.

I don't think Shreveport realizes just how lucky it is to have a place like this to train at. Lee's Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center has been offering the area authentic Chinese Martial Arts for decades and that is not something you can get everywhere, including many cities much larger than Shreveport!

Tai chi class is amazing. I went in stressed and came out completely relaxed with a sound mind. Master Glenn is funny and amazing at correcting you and explaining things in great detail. I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely be back again for more.

I've been a student for two years. Master Glenn and Sifu Doug are excellent teachers. I love the family like atmosphere as well.

Your first tai chi class at Lee's Kung Fu & Tai Chi

Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.

Tai chi is gentle and low-impact, but it's still exercise, and the health notes here are general information, not medical advice. If you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them to the instructor before class, and check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
