From the reviews
Learning from Dr. Bernard Shannon has been a privilege and an honor. His skill in matters of not only Chinese medicine but Medical QiGong and philosophical views has had a profound affect on my life.
This program has changed my life more than anything else I've ever done. Not only is Dr. Shannon an amazing teacher filled with knowledge and experience, he is clearly committed to his own spiritual development and change more so than anyone I've ever met.
I so appreciate the affect within the presentation of the material. It’s a combination of structure and medicine that delivers far after the class experience. We hear the reasoning of why we are stuck and are given path forward.
Doctor Barnard and the International Medical Qigong College have enhanced and changed my life profoundly! It took me 10 years to complete my Masters, the MMQ. I’m now going back for the Doctorate, DMQ Dr. B is super knowledgeable and a true wizard. Blessings
Your first tai chi class at International Medical Qigong College
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
