From the reviews
I have been here for 2 yrs. 1000 hrs. My health is better I feel better my posture is corrected..classes are small for one on one training...and Master Don Walth is a great teacher...
I came to Des Moines Eagle Claw on a heavy regiment of pain medicine, and walking with a cane, due to a major spine injury; Sifu Walth said "I have a philosophy, you can pay me or pay a Doctor" long story short, I should have came to Eagle Claw Kung Fu 1st!!
This is the real deal kind of Kung Fu and Taichi. The linage comes down straight from Hong Kong still with close ties to the Grand-masters currently living in New York City. You will work, you will sweat, you will be sore, you will learn. Expect to be challenged. Definitely worth the time, effort, and money.
This place has been a home for me for almost 15 years. Sifu Don Walth has taught me how to control myself and my emotions as well as my opponents. He’s always worked with my schedule and my children.
Your first tai chi class at Eagle Claw Kung Fu and Tai Chi
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
