From the reviews
We absolutely love this gym and the trainers. My family has been with Jeff for several years and we plan to stay with him for many more. His knowledge and training has taken our family’s fitness to the next level and his motivational coaching has helped us reach our goals.
If you are looking to build/retain muscle (and you should be if you are past 40, like me :)), or just get fitter, then look no further than Jeff Capps! I started training with Jeff just a few months ago, but I can already say that I am lucky to have found someone like him - he knows weightlifting forwards and…
I've been lifting with Jeff Capps for 5 years now. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone looking to improve their overall health and/or gain muscle. Personally, I have put on 30+ pounds of muscle during my journey with him.
I started tai chi in August with Jeff. I am. 72 year old woman who hadn’t done any training in years. Now less than 3 months later I am stronger, have more endurance, am much more flexible, and my balance is so good, thanks to Jeff. He is so patient and knowledgeable, I am so fortunate to have found him.
Your first tai chi class at Black Iron Personal Training and Tai Chi
Nervous about walking into a tai chi class for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a gentle warm-up, then learning a few slow movements of the form, step by step — no pressure to get it perfect, and you can rest or sit whenever you need to. What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in, and flat, flexible shoes (some studios practice in socks or bare feet). What to bring: water, and that's about it — there's no equipment to buy. Arrive a few minutes early to say hello to the instructor and mention it's your first class. It comes together faster than you'd think — most people feel far more at ease by their second or third visit.
